Welcome to the "What is Magnet" Page! Here you can learn all about what we do in class and what Magnet is all about. Magnet is made up of 3 classes that share 1 room making one big giant group with 82 kids. We do projects such as Social Studies, language arts, and Science where we branch out to other grades. Magnet kids do advanced math (Example: 3rd graders would do 4th grade math). Some kids don't do advanced math. Some kids do double advanced math (Yes, it is very rare and you have to pass another test in 3rd Grade). To get into The Magnet Program you have to pass the magnet test in 2nd grade. Magnet teaches 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. The Magnet teachers are Ms. Rich(3rd), Mrs. Sipila (4th), and Mrs. Law (5th) Mrs. Law teaches 4th grade math to the 3rd graders, Ms. Rich teaches 5th grade math to the , while Mrs. Sipila teaches 6th grade math.
